Debra Shigley is a journalist, speaker, and author of the book "The Go-Getter Girl's Guide: Get What You Want in Work and Life (and Look Great While You're at It)". She appears frequently as a career and lifestyle expert on programs such as the "Today" show, CBS' "The Early Show", "The View", CNN, and ABC News. She was recognized by the National Diversity Council as one of Georgia's 15 Most Powerful and Influential Women.
Debra earned her undergraduate degree at Harvard, and her law degree, cum laude, at Georgia State. Her writing has appeared in publications including Psychology Today, Allure, Fast Company, Budget Travel, and Redbook, and she has been quoted by The Wall Street Journal, Washington Post, AJC, Cosmopolitan, People StyleWatch, Latina, First for Women, and many more. She began her media career at CNN, worked full-time as an editor for Atlanta magazine while she completed her law degree at night, and then served as an employment law associate for a top firm. She lives in Atlanta with her husband and son (her second baby is due in May), and is a member of the Georgia Bar.
