  • ATLANTA -- The search for members of a missing Tennessee family has extended into the Atlanta metro area.

Digital billboards on Atlanta interstates are running wanted posters for Adam Mayes, a suspect in the family's abduction.

Jo Ann Bain and her three daughters, 14-year-old Adrienne, 12-year-old Alexandria and eight-year old Kyliyah, have been missing from their hometown of Whiteville, Tenn. since Apr. 27.

Mayes, an acquaintance of the family, is a suspect in their disappearance.

Over the weekend, investigators found two bodies behind a home in Guntown, Miss., where Mayes lives. Late Monday, the FBI confirmed the bodies belonged to Jo Ann Bain and daughter Adrienne.

The FBI believes Bain's two other daughters are still with Mayes. An AMBER Alert was issued shortly after the bodies were found.

The FBI said Mayes may have altered his appearance and the appearances of the two girls.

"We do have information that he has altered the appearances of everybody, including himself, primarily from cutting their hair," FBI spokesman Joel Siskovic said.

The FBI said Mayes has ties to Tennessee, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina and Florida.

The billboards are all across the Southeast, including Atlanta, where three interstate highways connect. If Mayes heads to another state, he could easily travel through the Atlanta area.

The Atlanta billboards are provided as a free service for the FBI by the Outdoor Advertising Association of Georgia.
