Sources say former DeKalb County District Attorney J. Tom Morgan would serve as counsel, along with his former right hand man, attorney John Petry.
11Alive's Duffie Dixon contacted Morgan by phone Tuesday morning.
"All I can say is that ethically we cannot comment on our client roster," said Morgan.
Morgan appeared several times on 11Alive News as a legal observer during the trial of Hemy Neuman. Neuman was convicted of shooting and killing Rusty Sneiderman.
Sources say Morgan will use his former right hand man as co-counsel. John H. Petrey worked with Morgan in the prosecutor's office for years. Petrey is now a defense attorney in Decatur. Petrey is considered formidable in the courtroom after making a name in high profile cases like the trial of former DeKalb County Sheriff Sidney Dorsey and murderer Colvin "Butch" Hinton III.
The current District Attorney, Robert James, has made no secret of the fact he'd like to see Andrea Sneiderman held accountable in the death of her husband.
During the trial prosecutors detailed an affair between Hemy and Andrea, and James called her a co-conspirator.
