DOHA, Qatar -- The daughter of an Atlanta family visiting Qatar was one of 13 children killed in a mall fire Monday. Two-year-old Zeinah Aouani was one of 19 people killed in the fire, which ripped through the mall's daycare center. Aouani was a student at the Primrose School in Midtown.
The owner of the Primrose School chose not to comment to 11Alive on the girl's death, citing her respect for the family in mourning. She said she had spoken with the girl's mother, who is still in Qatar.
According to the Associated Press, Qatar's attorney general has issued arrest orders for the owner of the mall. The sprinkler system reportedly malfunctioned during the fire. Other mall officials are also facing arrest.
