NEW YORK -- A 60-year-old Cobb County choir teacher was surprised with an ambush makeover Thursday on the fourth hour of "TODAY."

Roberta Heinlein was visiting New York with Smyrna First United Methodist Church's God's Light Youth Choir. Members of the choir told TODAY staff that Heinlein is always there for them and always puts them first.

"She's too busy taking care of everyone around her to really focus on herself,"Hoda Kotb said. "So we decided to take care of her for a change."

TODAY's makeover experts transformed Heinlein from head to toe.

"Oh my gosh, it doesn't even look like me!" she said when the saw herself in the mirror.

Heinlein's husband Terry was thrilled with the results.

"It goes great with her smile," he said. "It's totally a new look."
