MONTGOMERY, Al. -- (Montgomery Advertiser) A second man has been arrested in connection with the Auburn triple homicide, Auburn Police Department chief Tommy Dawson said.

Jeremy Thomas, an 18-year-old Montgomery resident, was arrested late Monday morning for hindering prosecution. He currently is being interrogated in Lee County and is believed to have fled the murder scene with prime suspect Desmonte Leonard, Dawson said.
Thomas is one of the "persons of interest" Dawson identified anonymously during his Sunday press conference. It's unclear if Jeremy Thomas is related to Gabriel Thomas, whom Montgomery police arrested late Sunday night for providing false information to authorities.
Leonard remains at large on three counts of capital murder. Officers from the FBI, U.S. Marshals Service and the Montgomery Police Department still are searching for Leonard in Montgomery.
