WOODSTOCK, Ga. -- Residents of Woodstock may notice some discoloration in their water due to fire hydrant maintenance that began on May 30.
The maintenance will continue until July 31. The Woodstock Fire Department performs maintenance twice per year. During that time, officials paint, flow and grease the hydrants around the city.
According to Woodstock Fire, the maintenance is performed as a "component of the Insurance Service Office (ISO) rating."
Currently, Woodstock's ISO rating is a 3 --- 1 is the highest.
