Atlanta, GA (Sports Network) - Alex Rodriguez tied Lou Gehrig's major league
grand slam record Tuesday night with the 23rd of his career.
Rodriguez homered with the bases loaded in the eighth inning against the
Braves to tie the game at 4-4.
The run he scored on the play was the 1,859th of his career, tying him with
Mel Ott for 11th all-time. His 1,922 RBI are two shy of Jimmie Foxx for sixth
place.
Gehrig, of course, played all 17 of his major league seasons with the Yankees.
