Police investigate a shooting scene on Marietta Street in Atlanta.
ATLANTA -- Police said one male was killed after a shooting in the 800 block of West Marietta Street Wednesday afternoon.
Atlanta Police Officer John Chafee said police were dispatched to 820 West Marietta Street on a report of shots fired at about 2:30 p.m. They said when they arrived, they found the body of a male who had been shot at least once.
Chafee said the incident may have started in an apartment and continued outside before the victim was shot. He said that at this point, no motive has been established, and no suspects have been taken into custody.
The Atlanta Police Homicide unit is investigating the shooting.
