ATLANTA -- Bounce TV, an Atlanta-based national broadcast network designed for black audiences, will debut its first two original series Monday night.
"Family Time", which starts at 9 p.m., is a half-hour situation comedy created by Bentley Kyle Evans ("The Jamie Foxx Show", "Martin", "Love That Girl") and produced by Evans and partner Trenten Gumbs.
According to the network, the show is about the Stallworths - "a working class African-American family who scratches off a lottery ticket and jumps to middle class overnight."
"Uptown Comic", which starts at 9:30 p.m., is a half-hour series featuring stand-up comic performances "by some of the hottest up-and-coming comics in the country," according to a statement released by Bounce. The show is filmed in front of a live studio audience at Center Stage in Atlanta. The host is actor and comedian Joe Torry ("Russell Simmons' Def Comedy Jam").
Bounce TV airs on 11Alive's sister station WATL-TV in Atlanta.
