JONESBORO, Ga. -- The Clayton County Board of Health is hosting two recruitment fairs for it's Parents as Teachers (PAT Program).
According to the Board of Health, the new programs offer "breastfeeding education and assistance, nutrition education, home/crib safety assessments, Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS) education, healthcare referrals for mother and child, infant carrier and child car seat education workshops" and other assistance for parents and children 5 years old or younger.
The fairs will be held on June 20 and 27 from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. and is open to African American woman between the age of 30 and 44 in their first trimester of pregnancy living in the 30236, 30238, and 30274 ZIP codes.
The Parents as Teachers program is being funded through the United Way of Metropolitan Atlanta.
Both fairs will be held at the Clayton County Board of Health located at 1117 Battle Creek Road in Jonesboro. For more information, email firstname.lastname@example.org
