Former Atlanta nightclub catches fire

ATLANTA -- Firefighters knocked down a fire at a former downtown nightclub early Wednesday.

Fire crews said when they arrived, smoke could be seen through the roof of the building at 303 Marietta Street NW, near Centennial Olympic Park.

The fire was knocked down within 15 minutes of when the call first came in at 3:53 a.m. It was initially thought to be a two-alarm fire, but a second alarm was never needed.
