Pedestrian safety is a major problem in Metro Atlanta. In fact, an average of four pedestrians each day are struck by motor vehicles here. That's why the PEDS organization teamed up with Atlanta Police to heighten driver awareness of pedestrian safety by setting up a sting operation in Midtown. For ninety minutes, officers pulled over unsuspecting drivers for numerous crosswalk violations. And our Commuter Dude was there to observe the proceedings.
