DULUTH, Ga. -- Gwinnett County Police are investigating a double shooting at the Suburban Extended Stay Hotel on Stephens Center Drive in Duluth.
According to Cpl. Edwin Ritter, 36-year-old Rashanda Patterson was fatally shot in the head and 36-year-old Joseph Emener suffered a non-lifethreatening wound shortly before 10 p.m. Thursday.
Police arrested a 24 year old at an apartment complex nearby. James Clay is being held n the Gwinnett County jail without bond on charges of Murder, Aggravated Assault, Possession of a Firearm during the Commission of a Felony and Carrying a Concealed Weapon. Police have not detemined a motive for the shooting.
All three people involved are from Duluth.
