ATLANTA - Singer and 'X Factor' judge Demi Lovato has kicked a pair of contestants on the singing competition off the show after rapping about smoking bath salts.
According to the New York Daily News, during auditions for the show's second season in Greensboro, N.C., a couple of rappers included a line about being "high on bath salts," which completely incensed the singer, who called them out for their lyrics.
Lovato, who has had her own personal battles with drugs and alcohol, immediately told them that their lyrics were inappropriate, especially in front of kids. The other judges on the panel backed Lovato and the contestants were kicked off the stage.
The Daily News said Lovato pulled the plug on her 2010 tour after suffering a breakdown and ending up in rehab for anorexia, bulimia, cutting and bipolar disorder. The stint also led to her departure from her Disney Channel series "Sunny With A Chance."
Lovato and Britney Spears joined the judges panel of "The X Factor" for the upcoming season along with returning judges Simon Cowell and L.A. Reid.
