ATLANTA -- A woman is dead after an apparent shooting on Myrtle Drive in southwest Atlanta Monday afternoon.
According to Atlanta Police, shortly after 3 p.m. officers responded to the area of Myrtle Drive and Allison Court "regarding a person down."
The woman, 31-year-old Teresa Carter, appeared to have been shot and killed.
According to information, a possible suspect was being detained by community members until law enforcement arrived. Investigators have detained that person.
