DOUGLASVILLE, Ga. -- A child was hospitalized after colliding with a car while riding his bike Tuesday afternoon.
Douglasville Police spokesman Deputy Chief Gary Sparks said the boy, who was about 12 to 14 years old, was hit just after 1 p.m. while riding his bike down a hill on Cindy Drive.
There was no immediate word on whether the driver of the car could see the child before the collision.
The boy, whose name was not released, was taken to Children's Healthcare of Atlanta at Egleston. Sparks said investigators have not received word on the extent of the child's injuries.
