MARIETTA, Ga. -- Voters in three metro Atlanta counties have approved Sunday alcohol sales.
Unofficial election results from the Georgia Secretary of State show that nearly 73 percent of Cobb voters approved Sunday sales in unincorporated areas of the county, with all precincts reporting results.
In Coweta County, 62 percent of voters supported Sunday Sales with all precincts reporting.
Voters in Tuesday's primary election were also deciding whether to allow alcohol in unincorporated areas of Fulton County.
About 75 percent of voters there had approved the measure with most precincts reporting, though final results from that vote were not yet available early Wednesday.
More than 100 Georgia communities voted on Sunday alcohol sales last year, after state lawmakers and the governor agreed to let local jurisdictions decide the issue.
