RIVERDALE, Ga. -- A man wanted for aggravated assault, making terroristic threats and cruelty to children has surrendered after an hours long SWAT standoff in Riverdale.
According to Clayton County Police, the man barricaded himself, a woman and a female child in a home on Ray Street near Eunice Drive on Wednesday.
The woman and child were released about four hours into a standoff. Police did not divulge the relationship between the three people in the home.
The man, who was reported to be armed, surrendered to police without incident early Thursday morning.
His prior charges resulted from an earlier incident at a different location, according to Clayton County Officer Charlene Watson-Fraser.
