ATHENS, Ga. -- Five time Olympic Gold Medalist Missy Franklin wowed not only the world with her performance in London, but also Georgia Bulldog and former Olympic Coach Jack Bauerle. It's no rumor, the school wants her.

"I can certainly confirm we are recruiting her," says Head Swimming Coach Jack Bauerle.
If Franklin joins Georgia's swim team she'll be among many other elite athletes who only got better at Georgia.
One star UGA athlete and gold-medal winning Olympian, Shannon Vreeland says Missy would fit right in.
"That would be incredible if she came to Georgia...we don't want to pressure her." Vreeland says, "It would be great fun."
The prospect of having Missy on campus is exciting to UGA students like sophomore Allin Bowman. "Please, please come here! We would love to have you!" is her message to Missy.
Even if Missy decides not to go to Georgia, Coach Bauerle says he's got his eye on several swim team members he thinks has what it takes to go to the Olympics in Rio in 2016.
