ATLANTA -- Invest Atlanta, the city's economic development agency, on Aug. 14 will announce a new start-up program aimed at increasing entrepreneurship.

"Start Up Atlanta" includes "a web-based platform that visually maps out valuable resources such as incubators, accelerators, service providers and connections to create and support a network for entrepreneurs to succeed in launching a startup or building a business in Atlanta," Invest Atlanta said.

Atlanta Mayor Kasim Reed, Director of the United States Patent and Trademark Office David Kappos, Invest Atlanta President and CEO Brian McGowan and Georgia Tech President G.P. "Bud" Peterson will be on hand for the announcement.
