(ATLANTA BUSINESS CHRONICLE) -- Athletes from Athens won seven medals at the just-ended London Olympics, ranking the home to UGA No. 9 among American cities, The Atlantic magazine reported.
Patrick Adler, an urban planning doctoral candidate at UCLA, mapped American cities based on Olympic medal wins and found Los Angeles to be No. 1 with 45 medals. In second is San Francisco with 11 medals.
Atlanta claimed one medal.
