ATLANTA -- The standing room only crowd at the Atlanta Public School board meeting, filled mostly with parents, vented their frustrations about the lack of adequate bus stops for child around the Atlanta Public School system.

Taking away school buses has unearthed many challenges faced by living in many inner-city neighborhoods.

Sharon Banks knows every inch of the area between her Vine City home and her child's' school. She's had to walk it this past week and even she feels it's unsafe.

In his State of the Schools address, APS Supt. Erroll Davis admitted the district failed to communicate with parents about cutting bus stops -- in an effort to cut costs.

He says he has taken into account the frustrations of the parents and will have a new bus plan by Wednesday.
