ATLANTA -- Fareed Zakaria's suspensions have been lifted at Time and CNN, where he was punished for the admitted plagiarism of content in a column published in Time magazine.

Zakaria apologized for the lapse a week ago after online blogs noted that a paragraph from a Zakaria column in the August 20 issue of Time was suspiciously like a paragraph from an April New Yorker article by Jill Lepore.
Zakaria is host of CNN's "Fareed Zakaria GPS (Global Public Square)," airing Sundays, and is editor-at-large with Time.
