ADAIRSVILLE, Ga. -- The Sage Cottage Restaurant on North Main Street in Adairsville was partially destroyed by fire Sunday evening.
Bartow County Fire Capt. Darrell Abernathy said the restaurant was about half-involved in flames when firefighters arrived at around 6 p.m. Abernathy said crews were able to prevent further damage to the building.
The restaurant was closed and no injuries were reported but one firefighter was treated for a heat-related illness, Abernathy said. The firefighter is reported in good condition.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
