CHEROKEE COUNTY, Ga. -- Will Copes, the 19 year old that was suspected of being with the missing 11-year-old from Cherokee County, was located Tuesday morning along with the 2002 Audi Station Wagon.  Both were located at a U-Haul business in Canton.

Copes advised he dropped off Elijah Cole and his father Jason Cole at a location in Pickens County.

Investigators immediately went to an undisclosed address in Pickens and located Cole and his son Elijah.

The father was taken into custody and questioned.

Officers then charged Jason Cole, 43-years-old of Canton, with Cruelty to Children in the First Degree, Reckless Conduct, Possession of Methamphetamine and Possession of Marijuana.

According to a press release, detectives say they determined Cole was transporting Elijah from house to house staying in different locations since last Thursday.

He kept his child from attending school for three days, is suspected of being on a drug binge during that time and has not provided adequate amounts of food to the boy.

A search warrant for Cole's blood and urine was obtained and the presumptive test indicated positive for Marijuana and Methamphetamine.

Elijah is currently in DFACS custody.  Cole remains in custody at the Cherokee Adult Detention Center with a $43,000 bond.
