GRIFFIN, Ga. - The Griffin Police Department has cancelled a Levi's Call, Georgia's Amber Alert for 8-year-old Serinity Hutcherson.
Police said the father, Renargo Hutcherson is now in custody and the child is safe with her mother. Investigators are interviewing the father.
They have obtained warrants to charge Hutcherson with kidnapping and interference with custody.
Serinity was taken by her father from Moore Elementary School in Griffin at 11:45 Tuesday morning. Her mother was not notified.
The alert had been issued, and included a lookout for a gold 2003 Ford Contour, with Georgia license tag 9146AAP.
