SAVANNAH, Ga. -- The president of Georgia-based Gulfstream Aerospace Corp. is reaffirming his company's commitment to expanding support for its growing Latin American fleet.

Gulfstream President Larry Flynn says the company has established its first factory service center in Latin America in Sorocaba, Brazil. He said that will become an increasingly important hub for the company.

The Sorocaba facility is certified to perform maintenance, repairs and alterations on all Brazil-registered Gulfstream aircraft. Officials say can also service U.S.-registered Gulfstream aircraft with Federal Aviation Administration-certified technicians.

Flynn said that having such resources for its operators globally is a driving factor behind the company's growth. Flynn said that around the world, the company is preparing for the entry of two new aircraft, the Gulfstream G650 and G280.
