Andrea Sneiderman at her bond hearing

DECATUR, Ga. -- Andrea Sneiderman walked out of the DeKalb County jail just after noon Thursday.

A spokesman for DeKalb County Sheriff Thomas Brown said her $500,000 bond was paid about 10 o'clock Thursday morning.  Following that, she was fitted with an ankle bracelet.  She is required to wear the ankle bracelet as a condition of her bond.

She was escorted out of the front door of the jail by a private security guard identified as a former police officer, apparently hired by Mrs. Sneiderman's family.  She was escorted to a minivan idling by a curb.  She ignored questions from reporters.

At her bond hearing Tuesday, DeKalb Superior Court Judge Gregory Adams said Sneiderman would have to pay $250,000 in cash before her release, plus $250,000 in a surety bond.

Mrs. Sneiderman was also ordered to surrender her passport along with the passports of her children.

COMPLETE COVERAGE | The Sneiderman murder case

Sneiderman was arrested in early August and charged in connection with the November 2010 murder of her husband Rusty Sneiderman. Hemy Neuman was convicted of murder earlier this year for shooting Rusty Sneiderman to death outside a daycare center in Dunwoody. The DeKalb District Attorney's Office brought charges against Andrea Sneiderman, saying she conspired with Neuman to commit the murder, motivated by their alleged extramarital affair.

Mrs. Sneiderman denies having an affair with Neuman.  Her attorneys say she is not guilty of murder, and intend to prove it during a trial.  Prosecutors have filed a motion seeking life without parole if she's found guilty.
