COBB COUNTY, Ga. -- The Cobb County School Board has voted, unanimously, to reinstate transportation for their county-wide Boys and Girls Club program.
Over 350 Cobb County students lost bus service to their local Boys and Girls club when $150,000 to provide drivers and buses, for the program, was cut from the Cobb County School districts budget.
Bill Liss and the 11Alive Help Desk teamed up with the Cobb parents to urge board members to change their mind.
The board made funding a special agenda item and voted unanimously to get the buses rolling again.

During the Thursday night meeting, Dr. Michael Hinojosa remarked that "many pleas were made about the transportation cut for the Boy's and Girl's Club. The amount of money needed is not that large to impact the budget. They have enough of a surplus to handle the costs this year."
The board was unclear on when the program would be fully restored.
