  • UPDATE (October 3, 2012) MILTON, Ga. -- Samuel Mosley was arrested by Milton Police for a burglary at a barbecue restaurant on September 26, 2012.

Milton Police said Mosley broke into the 'Cue barbecue restaurant on GA 9 through a back door using a crowbar at about 7 a.m. Surveillance video from the restaurant showed the suspect breaking into a safe and stealing over $1,000.

Mosley has outstanding warrants in Lake City and in Cherokee County. He is a suspect in burglaries in Forsyth and Cobb Counties that date back to April, 2012.

When Mosley was arrested he was in possession of a 9mm handgun, according to police.

CHEROKEE COUNTY, Ga. -- Samuel Mosley is 11Alive's Fugitive of the Week for August 29, 2012. Mosley, age 60, is known by many metro Atlanta law enforcement agencies who characterize him as a career burglar.

His latest burglary, according to Cherokee County investigators was at the Rainbow Asia restaurant on Sixes Road in Canton. Now he's wanted by the Cherokee County Sheriff for burglary and possession of burglary tools.

On the morning of August 12, 2012, someone used a crow bar to break in through a back door of the restaurant. It happened at about 10 a.m., just before owner Linda Gan opens up. She says she is usually alone. "It terrified me because it seems like he came in right before I come in the morning, bright early morning," she said. "That's really bothering me."

Cherokee County investigators released a video of the burglar rifling through the cash register stealing cash and checks. Once the video was released, it didn't take long to identify who it was. "We were contacted by a retired Atlanta police officer who was given information from a tipster close to the suspect," said Cpt. Joe Perkins.

Mosley served time for four separate convictions according to the Georgia Department of Corrections website. He was convicted of burglaries in Whitfield, Pickens and Gwinnett counties. "He has a long history of burglaries and break-ins in the metropolitan Atlanta area," Cpt. Perkins said. "In my opinion he's a professional burglar."

Linda Gan said she keeps wondering why he singled her business out. "I really do pray, please catch the guy because he doesn't need to be out there," she said.

Mosley's odds of getting caught just got better because he's featured on Rowson's Crime Scene as our Fugitive of the Week. If you know where Mosley is, call Crime Stoppers Atlanta at 404-577-TIPS(8477).
