Driver dies after being ejected from Jeep

Police said the driver was ejected in the overnight wreck near Ebenezer Road and Blackwell Road.

MARIETTA, Ga. -- A 25-year-old man was killed after wrecking his Jeep in Marietta overnight.

Cobb County Police said Gary M. Humphreys lost control of his Wrangler on Blackwell Road near Sanford Drive at about 1:30 a.m. Thursday.

Investigators said Humphreys was ejected when his Jeep hit a guardrail. He was not wearing his seat belt.

No one else was hurt.

Alcohol is being considered a factor in the crash.
