ATLANTA -- A body was found in the cab of a big rig that crashed and caught fire on Camp Creek Parkway early Friday.
Fulton County Police spokeswoman Melissa Parker said the unloaded 18 wheeler was heading southeast on Camp Creek when it ran off the road near Merk Road, hit a cement pole and caught fire. Parker said the truck became fully engulfed after rolling down an embankment.
Initially it was thought that no one was hurt in the wreck, but Parker said when Fulton County firefighters extinguished the flames, they found the body in the cab of the tractor.
The victim has not been identified, and the investigation is ongoing.
