(NBC SPORTS) -- Gold medal snowboarder Shaun White was arrested in Nashville Monday, after allegedly getting drunk and trashing his hotel room, according to NBC Sports and TMZ.
When confronted by hotel staff, White apparently started pulling fire alarms and running away. During that he reportedly split his head open.

White was taken to the local hospital and, once treated and released, will be taken to jail and processed on charges of public intoxication and vandalism.
White's representatives couldn't be reached for comment.
