DOUGLASVILLE, Ga. -- A man who was born in jail may now be facing life in prison or the death penalty for his role in the 2010 beating attack of 19-year-old Bobby Tillman.
The attack on Tillman lasted only 4 minutes. One of the suspects took a plea deal and two others are expected to do the same.
On Tuesday, the Douglas County District Attorney told the jury that Franklin was a student who showed leadership on the football field but on the night of Tillman murder he showed himself to be nothing more than a street thug.
The jury will reconvene on Wednesday morning to deliberate Franklin's sentence.
