HARRISBURG, Pa. -- The Three Mile Island nuclear plant 12 miles south of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania automatically shut down at 2:20 this afternoon.
Residents in the area reproted hearing a loud noise that was caused by steam being released from the plant, according to WGAL.
Plant officials are investigating, but say there is no health risk and the public is not in danger.
