LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. -- Discover Mills has a new name.
The mall announced Friday that its 10-year partnership with Discover Card has ended, and the shopping center will now be called Sugarloaf Mills.
"We are excited to brand the property with this relevant name already recognized because of Sugarloaf Parkway, which will better reflect the area and make it more identifiable to direct customers to the property," Gregg Goodman, president of Simon Company's The Mills division, said in a statement.
Sugarloaf Mills has also announced that several new stores have recently opened or will open in the coming months, including an Old Navy Outlet.
"Sugarloaf Mills is already a great source of jobs and revenue for Gwinnett County, and we know that it will continue to be an ideal destination for area visitors and local residents," Gwinnett Chamber of Commerce president Jim Maran said in a statement. "We are grateful to have Sugarloaf Mills here and look forward to its continued success as we further brand our community as a great place to live and work."
