Villa Rica, Ga-- Thousands are expected to attend a benefit bike ride and music festival for Aimee Copeland in Villa Rica Saturday.
The festival is being held at The Mill Amphitheatre in downtown Villa Rica. The day-long event kicked off with a motorcycle benefit ride at 10am and features BMX bike shows, pool tournaments, a kids' corner, vendors and live music from 3pm-10pm.
Copeland and her family are scheduled to attend today's festivities between 4pm- 8pm.
Copeland made national news last May; she contracted a rare flesh-eating bacteria after cutting her leg during a ziplining accident. During her months-long battle, Copeland's left leg, right foot and both hands were amputated.
The Mill Amphitheatre is located at 106 Temple Street in downtown Villa Rica.
