Filming at the Jonesboro park is scheduled through the end of November.
According to the lease between the county and the producers of "The Idiom", Clayton County will receive $80,000 for the usage of the land. Off-duty police officers will also receive $45 per hour for their services.
As for how the plans are affecting the county's economy? Officials say it's too early to tell, but the numbers are promising. Unemployment in Clayton County dropped more than a full percentage point from July '11 (12.9%) to July '12 (11.8%).
