ATLANTA -- Joseph Smith was due in court Tuesday morning, but waived his first appearance.
Smith is accused of killing three people over the weekend.
About 20 friends and family of the victims showed up at court to see Smith but were not allowed inside.
Smith will be back in court again in two weeks.
According to Atlanta Police, another woman filed a report with officers saying 32-year-old Smith assaulted and tried to rape her last Thursday night around 10:30. Police say a warrant was issued for Smith Friday.

According to the woman, she knew Smith and invited him over to her house to borrow money.
While there she says Smith forced her into her bedroom and insisted they have sex. When she refused she says Smith starting biting, choking and strangling her.
She screamed and Smith ran away. She filed a police report and officers immediately began investigating.
Atlanta Police say they took out a warrant on Smith. They were in the process of giving it over to fugitive squad which handles all felony arrests.
Sunday Smith was arrested for killing his wife, stepdaughter and another woman.
