ATHENS, Ga. -- Georgia coach Mark Richt says that the Bulldogs' leading wide receiver Michael Bennett will miss the remainder of the season after injuring his right knee.

Georgia announced Wednesday that Bennett tore the anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) in his right knee toward the end of Tuesday's practice.
The redshirt sophomore will have surgery, though no date has been set. Bennett leads the fifth-ranked Bulldogs with 24 catches for 345 yards and four touchdowns.
Georgia plays at No. 6 South Carolina on Saturday in a Southeastern Conference East Division showdown.
