GAINESVILLE, Ga. -- Investigators in Hall County haven't given up hope of finding a missing Gainesville man more than a year after he vanished.
Thomas E. Funk Jr. was last seen on Oct. 1, 2011. The missing man's roommate said he awoke the next morning to find Funk gone; his cell phone and car were left behind, according to Hall County Sheriff's spokesman Sgt. Stephen Wilbanks.

At the time of his disappearance, Funk was a recovering drug addict. He had also recently been treated in the emergency room for an injury to his foot, Wilbanks said.
Funk, now 48, is a white man, about 6 feet tall and 155 pounds, with brown hair and blue eyes.
Anyone who sees Funk or has information about his disappearance is asked to call the Hall County Sheriff's Office at 770-536-8812. Funk's family is offering a $5,000 reward for information.
