MARIETTA, Ga. -- Marietta Police Department Detectives arrested 41-year-old Elbert Adams on Wednesday.
Adams is charged with 67 felony counts of theft by conversion and 30 misdemeanor counts of theft by deception.
Police said investigations led them to find that Adams had sold over 100 metal box containers, used primarily for construction debris, to Blaze Recycling in Marietta over an 18-month time period.
Police believe Adams stole the containers from Waste Pro in Doraville, and possibly other unknown victims.
Detectives have recovered less than one-third of the stolen containers, totalling $325,000.
Marietta police ware working to recover the remaining stolen metal box containers, which could result in additional charges against Adams. He is now being held at the Cobb County Adult Detention Center, on a $250,000 bond.
