ATLANTA (Atlanta Business Chronicle) -- About 185 people enjoyed a culinary feast from some of the Southeast's top chefs at the third annual Sunday Supper South, held Oct. 28.

The Alfred Hitchcock-themed event brought together more than 20 James Beard Foundation award-winning chefs, nominees and semi-finalists.

That included Richard Blais of The Spence and FLIP burger boutique; Linton Hopkins of Restaurant Eugene and Holeman & Finch Public House; Steven Satterfield of Miller Union; and Ryan Smith of Empire State South.

Anne Quatrano and Clifford Harrison - executive chefs and owners of Bacchanalia, Quinones at Bacchanalia, Floataway Café, Abattoir and Star Provisions - hosted the evening at Westside Provisions District, on a patio overlooking the railroad tracks.

It certainly was a blustery night.  But, the windy weather fit right with old recordings of Hitchcock's tales.  Black birds hung from strings in the ceilings flew vigorously overhead.

Guests were treated to heavy hors d-oeuvres such as gulf coast oysters, sweet potato s'mores, quail legs and sweetbread eggrolls.  Three courses followed, including dishes such as smoked beef belly, poblano relleno of rabbit confit, whole roasted bone-in triggerfish and fall vegetable giardiniera.

Dessert included heirloom apple and sorghum stack cake, and pumpkin flan.
