Coffee, Cooking, Dental and Veteran's Freebies

Nervous cooks can learn some quick holiday techniques during free demonstrations at Williams Sonoma stores. During November there will be demonstrations about turkey preparation, side dishes and desserts. Most classes are Sundays at 1 p.m., but they can vary from store to store.

Another way to take cooking lessons from professional chefs is to volunteer. For example, Cook's Warehouse has cooking and baking classes throughout the week. Those willing to volunteer as an assistant or to help with setting up and cleanup can take the classes free after paying $65 to take a Knives Basics course.  The store has various locations around metro Atlanta.

There is free dental Care available on a first come first served basis at Marietta Family Dental Care Saturday, November 10. The practice is located at 4720 Lower Roswell Road in Marietta. Registration starts at 6:30 a.m. But a line is expected to form much earlier.

Seattle's Best Cofffee has a free sample for everyone who has to work Black Friday. Like the Seattle's Best Facebook page for a coupon for a free ten cup sample.   Folger's also has a coupon for a sample of flavored coffee on its Facebook page.

Veteran's Day Freebies abound as well.

Applebee's,  Olive Garden, and McCormick and Schmicks have free entrees for Veterans and Active Duty military members On Sunday, Noveber 11. Guest can choose from a list of available entrees that will be complimentary.   California Pizza Kitchen has a free pizza and drink for Veterans both Sunday and Monday.

Golder Corral has free dinner for Veterans on Monday, November 12th.

Wedding Angels in Roswell is participating in the Brides Across America program this year. Military Wives-to-be can preregister to be given a free wedding dress on Tuesday, November 13. Some accessories will be given away as well. The store is located at 395 South Atlanta Street, Roswell, GA 30075.

Many restaurants and business offering gifts for veterans require the vets have proof of their military service.
