Thanksgiving Volunteer Opportunities

Atlanta Community Food Bank and Partner Agencies
Location: S & D Community Development Corporation - 3250 Peachtree Corners Circle Suite G, Norcross, GA 30092
Volunteers needed: 75
Age requirements: 18 and older
3 Shifts: 10am-1pm, 1pm - 3pm, 3pm-5pm
Volunteer Position Description: On Thanksgiving Day, we will serve our annual community dinner consisting of delicious food, beverages, and dessert from our top volunteer chefs. Volunteers help by setting up, greeting guests, bussing tables, serving food, assisting in the kitchen, and cleaning up.

Details: Come make new friends and get some exercise in Piedmont Park while assisting with landscape maintenance projects. This is a great individual, family or group project for ages 5 and up. Projects may include mulching, seasonal planting, pine strawing and general park beautification.
Age requirements: Those under 18 years of age are required to have parental supervision.
Volunteer check-in begins at 8:45am in the Magnolia Hall main office across from the Tennis Center. The Courtyard is also located just off the 1st floor park entrance of the self-paid SAGE parking facility (1320 Monroe Drive at the Worchester intersection).

Details: Currently collecting food donations in various locations around metro Atlanta. Will match volunteers for Thanksgiving to help serve food to children. Details: Volunteers needed who are interested in donating non perishable items and turkey/ham certificates. Our goal is to help 100 homeless families.
Will be providing families activities for the Thanksgiving dinner for Rainbow Village on November 15th at the Pleasant Hill Presbyterian Church (3700 Pleasant Hill Rd in Duluth, GA) from 5:30pm to 8:00pm. Entertainment and activities will be provided.
There is no cap on the amount of volunteers needed so signing up is not necessary.

Assisting with occasional, one-time event opportunities such as wheelchair ramp builds and fundraisers.
