ATLANTA -- Every Thanksgiving, Atlanta media put their differences aside and join together to help feed metro Atlantans in need.
Working elbow to elbow with familiar faces, 11Alive colleagues snapped green beans, made stuffing, baked pies and more for the Atlanta Community Food Bank's Great Thanksgiving Dish.

"You all know you each other, you cover some of the same stories," Food Bank founder Bill Bolling said before the crew hit the kitchen. "This is something we can do together. This is our tradition."
Right alongside were Atlanta Dream guard Lindsey Harding and Braves legend John Smoltz. Smoltz and his family lead the charge every year.
"It's a humbling experience," he said. "It's the day I look forward to. This time around the table snapping peas and doing all the different things is a reality check for all of us who take for granted that food is on our plate at any beck and call."
This year's Great Thanksgiving Dish will feed 2,700 people through nonprofits who partner with the Food Bank's Atlanta's Table program.
All of the food was prepared at and donated by the Renaissance Waverly.
