DECATUR, Ga. -- Police arrested an inmate who was mistakenly released from the DeKalb County jail after a brief SWAT standoff at a Lithonia house on Friday afternoon.
According to DeKalb County, Joel Ledarius Harper had barricaded himself inside the Cedar Rock Drive home with his 4-year-old daughter.
Early Friday, the DeKalb County sheriff's office, announced they were working to locate and capture Harper, 22, who was mistakenly released from the DeKalb County Jail on November 21.
Harper was serving a ten-year prison sentence for two counts of armed robbery and one count of aggravated assault.
He was taken into custody shortly after 9 p.m. on Friday.
