Airport worker who egged Saints' bus resigns

ATLANTA -- An employee of Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport who was suspected of hitting the New Orleans Saints charter bus with eggs resigned on Monday.

When the visiting football team landed in Atlanta to face the Falcons, some of the airport's employees were confirmed to have thrown eggs at their bus.

According to a spokesperson for Hartsfield-Jackson, the airport's Department of Aviation officials confirmed that the worker, an employee of a restaurant in the airport, quit his job after being questioned by police.

The spokesperson reported that the employee's security badge was deactivated, all access to the Airport was revoked, and Hartsfield-Jackson will be fined.

The name of the employee was not released. The Department of Aviation has closed the investigation.
