ATLANTA -- Atlanta offers an above average shot at making good money, according to a study by Forbes.
Based on data from Payscale.com, the study said metro Atlantans can expect overall median pay of $59,500, starting median pay of $46,400 and mid-carer median pay of $83,300. That ranks Atlanta No. 26 out of the 100 top metro areas surveyed.
The biggest paychecks can be found in San Jose, Calif. -- Silicon Valley.
The lowest are in Scranton, Pa.
